Refund Policy
Refund Policy
How payments, cancellations and fixes work, so nobody’s surprised later.
The short version: you don’t pay for a website until you’ve seen it finished and said yes. Once it’s live, the build fee isn’t refundable, but anything that doesn’t work as agreed gets fixed free for 30 days. You can cancel the monthly plan anytime. It runs to the end of the month you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again.
Before you pay
There’s no deposit. I build your site first and you review it. If you decide not to go ahead, you owe nothing, so there’s nothing to refund.
The build fee
The build fee is due when you approve the finished site, before it goes live on your domain. Because you’ve seen and approved the finished site before paying, the build fee isn’t refundable once your site is live.
30-day fix guarantee
For 30 days after your site goes live, if something we agreed on doesn’t work as agreed, I’ll fix it at no charge. For example:
- A broken link or button
- A contact form that doesn’t send
- A page layout that breaks on current phones or web browsers
- Details I entered that don’t match what you gave me
This doesn’t cover:
- New ideas after approval, like a different design, new pages or new features. I’ll quote those separately, and small content updates are included in the monthly plan.
- Problems caused by changes someone else made to the site
- Outages or changes at outside services I don’t control (I’ll still help get things working)
The monthly care plan
- Cancel anytime by call, text or email. There’s no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
- Your plan keeps running until the end of the month you’ve already paid for.
- You won’t be charged again after you cancel.
- There are no refunds for part of a month.
- When you cancel, you keep your site. I hand over the files and your domain as described in the Terms.
If you’re charged by mistake
If you’re charged twice, charged after cancelling, or charged the wrong amount, tell me and I’ll refund the mistaken charge in full. Refunds go back to the original payment method where possible, usually within 10 business days of confirming the mistake.
Your rights under the law
Nothing in this policy limits any right or remedy you have under the Kansas Consumer Protection Act or any other law that can’t be limited by agreement.
How to ask
Call, text or email me with what happened. I’ll get back to you, and if you’re owed a fix or a refund, I’ll tell you when to expect it.
