Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Plain English, as short as it can be while still being complete.
The short version: I collect what you send me so I can reply to you and do the work. I don’t sell your information, I don’t share it for advertising, and this website doesn’t use cookies, analytics or tracking.
Who I am
JT Web Co. is a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Jayden Bui, based in Derby, Kansas. In this policy, “I”, “me” and “my” mean JT Web Co.
This policy covers the website at jtwebco.com and the information I handle when you contact me or hire me. For how I use cookies, see the Cookie Policy.
What I collect
When you use the contact form
- Your name
- Your phone number or email address
- Your business name, if you add it
- Your message
- That you agreed to be contacted, and which version of this policy was shown
The form is delivered by Formspree. Like any web service, Formspree also receives technical information your browser sends, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you were on, which it uses to deliver the message and filter spam.
When you call, text or email me
Your phone number or email address, and whatever you send me.
If you become a client
- Business details and the content you send for your site (like your logo, photos and text)
- The contact details needed to register your domain in your name (like your name, business address, email and phone number)
- Records of quotes, invoices and payments
I don’t store full card or bank account numbers. If you pay online, the payment provider handles those details.
When you visit this website
The website itself doesn’t collect personal information, set cookies, or use analytics. Like every website host, Cloudflare processes standard technical information (such as IP addresses, browser details and the pages requested) to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
Please don’t send sensitive information
Please don’t send Social Security numbers, card or bank details, passwords, or health information through the form, by text or by email.
How I use it
- To reply to you and give you a quote
- To build, host and look after your website, and to register and manage your domain
- To send invoices and keep business, tax and legal records
- To keep the website, the form and my accounts secure, including filtering spam
- To comply with the law
I don’t add people to marketing lists. If I ever want to send occasional updates, I’ll ask first and you can say no. I won’t send you marketing texts. You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP or just telling me.
Who I share it with
I don’t sell your personal information, and I don’t share it with anyone for advertising. I only share it with the services I need to run the business:
| Service | What it does for me | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Formspree | Delivers contact form messages to my email | What you type in the form, plus technical details like your IP address |
| Cloudflare | Hosts this website; hosts client websites and registers client domains | Technical details when you visit; for clients, domain registration details |
| Google (Gmail) | My business email | Emails you send me and form notifications |
| My phone carrier | Calls and texts | Your phone number and messages |
People who help me: I sometimes have help on bigger projects. Anyone helping on a project only sees the information needed for that project, and only uses it for that.
Domain registration: domain rules require the registrar to collect the domain owner’s contact details. Cloudflare keeps these out of the public WHOIS directory where the domain extension allows it.
I may also share information if the law requires it, to protect my rights or someone’s safety, or with whoever takes over the business if it’s ever sold or merged (and I’ll tell you if that happens).
Each of these services has its own privacy policy: Formspree, Cloudflare, Google.
How long I keep it
- Messages from people who don’t become clients: up to 2 years, then deleted.
- Content you sent for a site you decided not to go ahead with: deleted within 30 days, or sooner if you ask.
- Client records: for as long as you’re a client, then as long as needed for tax and legal reasons (usually up to 7 years).
Your choices and rights
You can ask me to:
- Tell you what personal information I have about you
- Correct it
- Delete it (unless I have to keep something for tax or legal reasons, and I’ll tell you if so)
- Stop contacting you
Just call, text or email me. I’ll respond within 30 days, and you won’t be treated differently for asking. Depending on where you live, your state’s law may give you additional rights. Ask, and I’ll help.
Cookies, tracking and Do Not Track
This website doesn’t use analytics, advertising, social media pixels or embedded content from other sites, and it doesn’t set cookies. Its fonts are stored on this site, so your browser doesn’t contact Google or any other font service. Details are in the Cookie Policy.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: I don’t track visitors across websites or over time, so there’s nothing for these browser signals to switch off. They don’t change how the site works.
Security
I take reasonable steps to protect your information, like using encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limiting who can access my accounts. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so I can’t guarantee absolute security. If a security breach affects your personal information, I’ll notify you as the law requires.
Children
This website and my services are for businesses, not children. I don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent me information, contact me and I’ll delete it.
My clients’ websites
When I host or look after a website for a client, information that visitors send through that website (for example, through its contact form) belongs to that client. I handle it only on their behalf and following their instructions, and the client’s own privacy policy applies.
Visitors outside the United States
I’m based in the United States and my services are for US businesses. Information is processed and stored in the United States.
Changes to this policy
If I change this policy, I’ll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, I’ll say so clearly on this page. I won’t use information you already gave me in a significantly different way without asking you first.
